To facilitate the easier attachment of payloads to the stages a simple printed clamp was designed. The clamp can be used as a traditional clamp or some additional lugs can be bolted to the faces to make clamping 20mm aluminium extrusion easier. Additionally, optional springs can be installed as seen in the images below to make the clamp return to an open position automatically when the tightening bolt is undone. All bolts, including the one used to tighten the clamp are M3. Other stages from the [[Easy Printed Stages]] project can be found there as well. ## Printables The project is also hosted on [Printables](https://www.printables.com/@Hungry_Hank_1776250) where some printer specific 3mf files can be found for printers I have access to. # Instructions Print all the parts ideally in [[PETG]] but any other material will work here. Its a simple enough design with few options or complex parts. You may need to bolt the face plates down first before installing the clamp itself as it can block access to the M3 bolts that hold the clamp down. ## Optional Spring You don't need to install the springs but they make the clamp "self open" when you back off the tightening bolt. ## Optional 20mm Aluminium Extrusion Lugs For mounting 20mm aluminium extrusion (20x20 or 20x40 work) use the bolt on lugs.
